In his 15+ years of experience in financial and product management, Keith has successfully managed large budgets, technology evolution and service staffs in a very dynamic service industry. For him, collaboration with diverse stakeholders for positive outcomes is a daily practice. Keith grew up in a very small Illinois town and saw the integral role that his public school (and his grandparents!) played in the community. He is committed to ensuring that every student in the Osseo school district has access to high-quality education as well as the cultural/social skills that prepare them for a successful future. In his family life, Keith and his wife have raised their four children to have open, non-judgmental attitudes toward others, to work hard and to take life with a healthy dose of humor. He sits on the District 279 DPAC committee, where he advocates for equitable opportunities for all students. He is committed to financial accountability and stewardship in MN’s second-largest school district with a budget of nearly $320 million.
Keith aims to collaborate with parents, educators, and community members to listen to families’ needs, drive positive change, and foster an environment to support every student’s growth and success.- Raising the voices of those most in need: Every child deserves to be heard and have their unique needs considered. I will be a strong advocate for students from marginalized communities and those with special learning requirements.
- Equipping our teachers and staff: Students need to be at the core of every decision we make, and yet we need to listen carefully to the trained educational experts, our teachers and staff. I pledge to provide the resources and training they need in or to maximize their effectiveness in educating our children.
- Fostering innovation: Our schools should prepare our students for the opportunities of the future. I will support initiatives that promote innovation in education, ensure our schools are equipped with the resources to provide exceptional service and that all children have equal access to the tools necessary to succeed.
