I am a lifelong South Dakotan who wants to represent other South Dakotans and their values. My family and I have lived in District 11 for more than 30 years. My husband Blake is a retired veteran of 35 years and our children Morgan, Quinn and Brayden have all attended public schools in district 11.

I am running for elected office because I kept asking myself, “Why doesn’t someone do something about that?” Then, I realized I was somebody. I have the desire, commitment and character to build relationships with other legislators to bring positive change and policy to South Dakota.

South Dakota is a great place to live, work and raise a family because of the strength of its people and the power of its diverse communities. I believe that everyone deserves the right to live, love, worship and pursue happiness however they choose as long as it does not interfere with the fundamental rights of others.

  • Meaningful and Relevant Legislation: Legislation must create logical solutions with real impact on the problems facing our state.
  • Transparency and Truth: Our laws should be based on reliable, fact based evidence. The legislation’s reason and solution should be clear and concise without hidden political agendas.
  • Teamwork: Legislators must build trusting bipartisan relationships through communication and compromise to create the best policies for our state.
- fair and equitable taxation

- Adequate funding for necessary programs while maintaining fiscal responsibility
- affordable housing, daycare and health care
- strengthening and improving our public schools
- equal rights and opportunities for all people accepting, supporting and valuing our diverse communities including

tribal nations, LGBTQ+ and ethnic backgrounds.

- the right to contraceptive health care including abortion especially for situations involving rape or incest.

- common sense gun control
