Issues
Campaign issues
2014
Wentz's campaign website highlighted the following issues:[2]
Reduce Government Spending to Hold the Line on Taxes
- Excerpt: "As a fiscal conservative, Leroy knows we can’t keep spending money we don’t have by borrowing money that our children will be forced to pay back. He believes we must continue to force government to do more with less like we are all doing in our homes and businesses."
Spark Economic Growth to Create Jobs
- Excerpt: "Leroy will push to use the available economic development money we have on wise investments to help foster job creation. That means supporting the small businesses and entrepreneurs who drive our economy, but he will not support government bailouts or corporate welfare."
Reform Harrisburg to Save Us Money
- Excerpt: "Leroy is not a politician! He will always remember that he is there to work for you – the taxpayer. He’ll have the courage to stand up to the politicians and bureaucrats in Harrisburg who have forgotten that they work for us. As our State Representative, Leroy will fight for real reform by standing up to the special interests and career politicians."
Represent Our Communities, Our Values and You
- Excerpt: "Like us, Leroy is pro-life and a strong supporter of the Second Amendment. In Harrisburg, he will stand up to the politicians – including those in his own party – who would try to weaken our state’s abortion laws or take away the rights of gun owners."
