2014
Blackburn submitted the following statement to Ballotpedia:
“ | I am against any notion of having a Dallas Home-Rule Charter on the November 2014 ballot. When Dr. Rosie Sorrells was on the State Board of Education, they wrote the Home-Rule law to give parents more choice. However, Support Our Public School's current push, lacks critical transparency and has yielded mistrust by many in my community.I welcome the opportunity to have a new, open and more-inclusive discussion about how Dallas ISD could use the law in the future.[4] | ” |
