Focus on Results and Accountability

Lou will be a staunch advocate for effective education policies that help our students succeed. We need to set a high bar for achievement while providing our schools with the support and resources to reach it. As a public school Math & Science teacher, Lou knows how to get real results for the students of Escondido. This isn’t politics. Our students need action.

Partnering with Parents, Teachers and Community

Lou will work to bring everyone to the table to craft meaningful solutions for Escondido schools. In his work as a teacher, Lou has seen what’s possible when parents, teachers, and community members work together to produce results for our kids. Escondido needs active and engaged leadership at every level, from classrooms to the Board of Education.

21st Century Skills

As a former engineer and current math and science teacher, Lou knows firsthand the skills our students need to be successful in a 21st century economy. From science and technology, to creative problem solving and collaboration, students and teachers need support to reach these higher standards and achieve greater possibilities.[2]
