I am a parent, a U.S. Navy veteran, a former deputy sheriff, and a Colorado Army National Guard veteran. Professionally, I serve as a global IT leader and currently direct consulting delivery in the technology sector. I have also served on boards in the past and remain an active volunteer in my community. My diverse background, coupled with business experience working alongside some of the largest brands in the United States, gives me a broad perspective to draw from. I describe myself as fiscally conservative and deeply committed to ensuring our schools remain focused on academic excellence, parental partnership, and safe, supportive classrooms.
- Prioritize strong fundamentals in reading, writing, math and science to keep DCSD a top-performing district. We’ll expand Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs for real-world skills, giving students more pathways to success. (Douglas County is already #1 in metro-area test scores and boasts a 92% graduation rate. We will build on that success!)
- Stand up for fairness and safety for female students. We will fight to preserve girls-only teams, restrooms, and locker rooms – no biological boys in girls’ competitions or facilities. Student safety and privacy come first, ensuring a level playing field for our daughters in both sports and school life.
- Champion parental rights and transparency to build trust. Parents deserve full visibility into curriculum, library books and classroom materials, plus a say in any health or medical decisions at school. We’ll honor opt-in/opt-out choices for sensitive topics, making sure parents are heard as crucial partners in their children’s education.
I am passionate about protecting girls’ sports, bathrooms, and locker rooms by ensuring no biological boys participate in or access these spaces. I strongly support parental rights, fiscal responsibility, and expanding school choice so families have the freedom to choose the best educational path for their children.
Integrity, accountability, and transparency are the most important qualities for an elected official. Leaders must listen to their community, respect differing viewpoints, and make decisions guided by principle rather than special interests. Fiscal responsibility, honesty, and a commitment to serving the public above all else are essential.
The core responsibilities of a school board member are to ensure that schools remain focused on academic excellence, set policy that reflects the values of the community, and provide fiscal oversight to make sure resources are used wisely. It is also the board’s responsibility to safeguard parental rights, uphold student safety, and work closely with administrators while holding them accountable to the community they serve.

The primary job of a school board member is to set policy that keeps schools focused on academic excellence, fiscal responsibility, and the values of the community.
My constituents are the students, parents, teachers, and taxpayers of Douglas County. They all have a stake in ensuring our schools provide an excellent education, operate responsibly, and reflect the values of the community.
I would support the diverse needs of students, faculty, staff, and the community by keeping schools focused on academics, respecting parental rights, and ensuring safe and supportive learning environments. I believe in listening to all voices, being fiscally responsible with resources, and making sure every decision reflects the best interests of students and families.
I will build relationships with the broader community by being accessible, listening openly, and maintaining transparency in decision-making. I intend to engage directly with parents, teachers, administrators, and students. My goal is to ensure all stakeholders feel heard and included in shaping the future of our schools.
Good teaching is when educators engage students, foster critical thinking, and create a classroom where every child can succeed, free from ideologies and distractions. It can be measured by student growth, classroom engagement, and feedback from both students and parents. I will support advanced teaching approaches by ensuring teachers have access to professional development, modern tools, and the flexibility to adapt methods that best meet the needs of their students.
Since the community recently passed an MLO and bond, my focus will be on ensuring taxpayer dollars are spent exactly as allocated. I will look for areas of cost savings, exercise fiscal discipline, and explore creative funding measures to support the district without placing additional burdens on taxpayers.
My policies for school safety are driven by the principles of prevention, partnership, and protection. Prevention means creating a secure environment before issues arise; partnership means working closely with parents, teachers, and local law enforcement; and protection means putting the safety and well-being of students above all else.
I would support mental health needs by fostering a positive and supportive school environment, ensuring teachers have access to strong healthcare benefits, and respecting parental rights by keeping families at the center of student mental health decisions.
I believe policy decisions should be carefully reviewed with input from parents, teachers, and the community. Once in office, I will thoroughly review district policies to ensure they reflect academic excellence and community values.
My ideal learning environment is one where classrooms are safe, supportive, and focused on academic excellence. Students should be challenged to reach their potential, teachers should have the tools they need to succeed, and parents should be welcomed as partners in the educational process.
I will build strong relationships with parents by keeping open lines of communication, being present at school and community events, and making sure their voices are heard in decision-making. Parents know their children best, and their input is essential to ensuring our schools stay focused on academic excellence and student success.
My preferred strategies for recruitment focus on attracting and retaining high-quality faculty, staff, and administrators by fostering a positive work environment, ensuring competitive compensation, and maintaining strong school cultures that prioritize student success. I also believe in highlighting Douglas County as a community that values excellence in education and respects the voices of educators and families alike.
I believe curriculum decisions should be carefully reviewed with input from parents, teachers, and the community. Once in office, I will thoroughly review the curriculum to ensure it reflects academic excellence and community values.
I am supportive of using artificial intelligence in schools. It would be a disservice to students not to give them exposure to tools that will shape their future, and AI can also help teachers and staff by improving efficiency and reducing workload. Its use should always be transparent and focused on supporting education, not replacing the human element.
