Kristin Dozier (Nonpartisan)

As your next Mayor, my top priorities will be first, to grow our economy by supporting local businesses and entrepreneurs, creating new jobs and workforce training and second, ensuring City Hall is transparent and responsive to the needs of our whole community, not a select few.

We must end the divisiveness that has plagued our City Commission in recent years. As your next mayor, I will work to bring people together, restore trust in city hall and find creative solutions to the important issues impacting our community.

For twelve years I have worked to create new jobs, to support entrepreneurs and our universities and we have made substantial progress. This is why I opposed giving away nearly $27 million of our economic funds for repairs to Doak Campbell Stadium. This decision cost us 1000's of jobs and we need a mayor who knows how to grow our economy so people can find good jobs that help them afford rent, to buy a home, and to support themselves and their families.

As a three term Leon County Commissioner, I have focused on a wide range of issues including job creation, sustainable and responsible land use, environmental protection, affordable housing, and much more. I am passionate about a wide range of issues because, as a local elected official, I recognize all of these issues are interdependent and we must make decisions that benefit our whole community.
