Mirko Zaplatic Jr. ran for election to the Chicago City Council to represent Ward 26 in Illinois. Zaplatic was disqualified from the general election scheduled on February 26, 2019.

Zaplatic was disqualified by the Board of Election Commissioners for the City of Chicago from the February 26th, 2019 elections for the Office of Alderman 26th Ward after submitting an invalid nickname on his Nomination Papers.[1]
