Orazio R. Bellantoni is a justice for the Westchester County Supreme Court in the 9th Judicial District of New York. He was first elected to that court for a term that began in 1996. He was re-elected in 2009.[1][2]

Education

Bellantoni received his A.B. and J.D. degrees from Fordham University in 1963 and 1966, respectively.[1]

Career

Bellantoni began his career in 1969 as an Assistant District Attorney of Westchester County. He then worked as a law clerk to Judge James Caruso of the Westchester County Court from 1973 to 1976 and as a law clerk to Supreme Court Justice Russell Legett from 1977 to 1983. His judicial career began in 1984 when he took office as a Westchester County Family Court Judge. He then joined the Supreme Court in 1996.[1]

2009 re-election

Bellantoni was nominated to run for another term on the court by the 9th Judicial District's Republican nominating convention in September of 2009.[3] The election day was held on November 3, 2009.[4] [5]
