I am a Constitutional Conservative Republican, a student of politics since 1964. I am a firm believer that our rights come from God and that he raised up wise men who he inspired to establish the Constitution for the purpose of protecting those God given rights. I have served four years on the Nampa, Idaho school board and have run unsuccessfully twice for the Idaho legislature.
  • I will work to downsize state government and rein in the agencies and bureaucracies.
  • I will work to reduce and then eliminate Idaho's dependency on money from the federal government.
  • I will work to get the 63% of Idaho land that is currently owned by the federal government returned to the state to manage.
Government at all levels has become too powerful and needs to be put back in its Constitutional box. We the people gave a limited number of powers to the government and it has egregiously surpassed those limits to the point that it is threatening our individual liberty.
Jesus Christ is the example I TRY to follow, but fail miserably.
During the campaign let the people know what you stand for, hide nothing, then if elected do what you said you would do.
I worked for the National Park Service in Glacier National Park for five summers while attending college.
The Bible, because it outlines the way to treat others.
Totally separate powers. The checks and balances are there to divide governing power into three different branches to avoid tyranny. The legislature is there to represent the voters not to do the bidding of the governor.
Stop and reverse the growth of government and wean ourselves off of money from the federal government with its many strings that are attached.
I am opposed to a unicameral legislature. I believe the two houses of a bicameral legislature are a better check on government power.
No. I believe in a citizen legislature where elected representatives serve two or three terms then return to the private sector.
Yes. Get to know them and let them know you. Build a team of like minded individuals, that is how you accomplish things.
The legislature is responsible and that power should not be turned over to un-elected bureaucrats or to unaccountable judges and lawyers.
I have heard many times from people who have had their lives negatively impacted by the Covid shutdowns. Businesses deemed unessential, Churches shut down, people laid off and children deprived of the freedom to breath clean air because of requirements to wear a mask at school.
If you say something when your wife is not there, is it still wrong?
Yes. These powers cannot be put in the hands of one or a few without seriously endangering our freedom.
Compromise on policy is acceptable as long as it does not violate core principles.
