Scott Kohlhaas
Scott Kohlhaas (Libertarian Party) ran for election to the Alaska House of Representatives to represent District 20. He lost in the general election on November 5, 2024.
Biography
Kohlhaas was born on August 15, 1959, in Rochester, Minnesota. He attended Westminster College from 1978 to 1980. He went on to attend the University of Alaska in Anchorage from 1997 to 1999. His professional experience includes working as a consultant.[1] Kohlhaas worked as a fundraiser/petitioner for the National Libertarian Party in 2004. In 2006, he was a coordinator/petitioner for Alaskans for Gaming Reform. He has also worked as a self-employed consultant from 2003 to 2007.[2]

Kohlhaas was a member of the Southwest Neighborhood Assembly from 1984 to 1996. He then served as a Trustee for the Dundee Township Library Board from 2001 to 2002. In 2004 he was a candidate for the United States Senate, but he was not elected. He also served as Chair of the Alaska Libertarian Party from 2002 to 2006. He was also a candidate for the Alaska House of Representatives in 2006 and 2008 but was not elected in either case.[2]
