Shane Thompson was a 2012 Republican candidate for District 30 of the Ohio State Senate.

Thompson ran in the 2012 election for Ohio Senate, District 30. He took the place of Laura D. Groux in the general election, after Groux withdrew following the primary election.[1] Thompson was defeated by incumbent Lou Gentile (D) in the general election, which took place on November 6, 2012.[2]
