Sherman Carouthers
Sherman Carouthers was a 2011 Democratic candidate for District 8 of the Mississippi State Senate. He lost in the primary election to Russell Jolly.
Carouthers is a partner with Comer Capital Group, LLC., a financial advisory firm. He previously served two terms as the mayor of Okolona.

Carouthers ran in the 2011 election for Mississippi Senate District 8. He lost in the primary on August 2, 2011 against Russell Jolly, Barry Springer, and Marshall Coleman. Patsy Gregory and Victor Horn ran in the Republican primary. The general election took place on November 8, 2011.[1]
