  • Maine Question 5, Change Time Period of Judicial Review of Initiative Petitions Amendment: Changed the timeline for the judicial review of initiative petitions, including changing the judicial review period from within 100 days of a petition being filed to within 100 business days of a petition being filed and allowing the judicial review period to begin 30 days after a general election when an initiative petition is filed within 30 days of a general election.

Arizona

  • Tucson, Arizona, Proposition 413: Increased the mayor's salary from $42,000 per year to 1.25 times the salary set for members of the Pima County Board of Supervisors. The measure also increased the salaries of council members from $24,000 per year to equal the salary set for members of the Pima County Board of Supervisors. In 2023, the salary for county supervisors was $76,600.[1]

  • Houston, Texas, Proposition A, City Council Agenda Amendment: Provided that three or more city council members may request in writing an addition to the weekly legislative agenda. Previously, only the mayor could add items, unless three council members called a special meeting and a quorum of council members attended and voted to supersede the rule.
