Theresa Couri

Couri was appointed to the court on February 16, 2021, by Gov. Tim Walz (D) to replace Mary R. Vasaly.[1]
Education
Couri received a bachelor's degree in social work from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a J.D. from the Loyola University Chicago School of Law.[1]
Career
Couri has worked as a managing county attorney at the Hennepin County Attorney’s Office. She has also worked as an assistant attorney general in Minnesota Attorney General’s Office and a litigation associate at the Oppenheimer, Wolff & Donnelly law firm. She has also served as an adjunct professor of Legal Writing at Mitchell Hamline College of Law. She began her career at the Legal Assistance Foundation in Chicago.[1]
