Timothy Rave
Timothy A. Rave (b. July 24, 1967) is a former Republican member of the South Dakota State Senate, representing District 25 from 2011 to April 1, 2015. Rave resigned to accept a position with Sanford Health.[1]
Rave held the position of State Senate Majority Leader from 2013 to 2015.[2]
Rave served in the South Dakota House of Representatives, representing District 25 from 2003 to 2011. Prior to joining the senate, he served as the State Speaker of the House.
Biography
Rave earned an associate degree from Canby Vocational College in 1987. He went on to receive another associate degree from Augustana College/McK. Hospital Paramedic Program in 1990.
Rave's professional experience includes working as a paramedic supervisor, operations manager, and precinct committeeman.

Elections
2014
The general elections for the office of South Dakota State Senate took place on November 4, 2014. A primary election took place on June 3, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was March 25, 2014. Bill Laird was unopposed in the Democratic primary. Incumbent Timothy Rave was unopposed in the Republican primary. Rave defeated Laird in the general election.[3][4][5]

2012
Rave won election in the 2012 election for South Dakota State Senate District 25. Rave ran unopposed in the Republican primary on June 5 and defeated Dan Ahlers (D) in the general election, which took place on November 6, 2012.[6]

2010
Rave reached his term limit and was ineligible for re-election to the House. He won election to District 25 in the South Dakota State Senate instead.
Rave defeated incumbent Dan Ahlers (D) in November 2 general election.
