Sabrina Martinez Harrison was a candidate for the District 2 seat on the Dallas Board of Trustees in Texas. She was seeking election against incumbent Mike Morath during the general election on May 10, 2014 but withdrew from the race on March 3, 2014.[1] District 2 covers schools in the north and near-east sides of Dallas.[2]
Biography
Harrison earned a B.S. in international business from the University of Texas-Arlington in 2005. She later received an M.B.A. from Texas A&M University in 2007. Harrison previously owned Ishq Spa, Salon and Boutique and owned Mint Dentistry at the time of her candidacy.[3]
Elections
2014
Sabrina Martinez Harrison was seeking election to the District 2 seat against Mike Morath during the general election on May 10, 2014. She withdrew from the race on March 3, 2014. Newcomers Lew Blackburn, Jr., Joyce Foreman, D. Marcus Ranger, Carlos Sherman and Bertha Bailey Whatley filed for the District 6 seat held by Carla Ranger. Ranger did not file for re-election by the February 28 deadline. Incumbent Miguel Solis sought re-election for the District 8 seat against challengers Kristi Lara and Richard P. Sheridan.
