John Christian Bambenek (Republican Party) ran for election to the U.S. House to represent Illinois' 15th Congressional District. He did not appear on the ballot for the Republican primary on March 17, 2020.

Bambenek was a 2012 Republican candidate for District 52 of the Illinois State Senate.

Biography

Bambenek received his B.A. in Physics and Astronomy with a minor in Math from University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and did graduate study at the University of Illinois in Law, Economics and Philosophy. As of 2012, he was studying for an M.A. in Theology from Franciscan University of Steubenville.

Babmenek's professional experience includes being a small business owner and information security expert specializing in electronic fraud prevention and response. He has been a member of the Board of Springfield Infragard Members Alliance and a Policy Advisor with For the Good of Illinois and Vice-Chairman of the Republican Liberty Caucus of Illinois.^[1]
