William N. Alexander, II was a circuit court judge for the 22nd Judicial Circuit in Virginia.[1] He served as a judge for the court from 1994 until his retirement from the bench on December 31, 2014.[2][3]

Reappointment delay

Alexander's re-appointment to the court was held up by the Virginia General Assembly while they considered his treatment of a grand jury investigation of a county sheriff. He had a hearing before a state legislative panel on February 17, 2010.[2] On March 10, 2010, the Virginia General Assembly unanimously voted to reappoint Alexander.[4][3]

The Franklin County Bar Association endorsed Alexander for another term.[5]

Education

Alexander received his undergraduate degree from Davidson College and his J.D. degree from the University of Virginia School of Law.[6]
