The Illinois Judicial Inquiry Board is a judicial disciplinary agency in Illinois charged with initiating, receiving, and investigating complaints concerning judicial misconduct. The Board files complaints with the Illinois Courts Commission.[1]

Organization

The Board is made up of nine members: two circuit judges, three lawyers, and four members of the public. The judges are selected by the state Supreme Court; the lawyers and members of the public are selected by the Governor. The board members have four-year terms with an eight year limit.[1]
