Collapse all
|- Housing and renters' rights: We're in the midst of a housing crisis - prices are rising at a pace that outpace increases in wages, and there is a lack of housing that is a fit for families. We need to increase access to affordable housing and expand renter protections (such as protecting against eviction without cause).
- Climate justice: We need to urgently move towards a just transition away from fossil fuels and towards renewable energy in a way that brings everyone along, regardless of economic status. And, we know that the impact of climate change falls disproportionately on communities of color, and our most vulnerable community members. We need to ensure that we’re mitigating that impact and centering the voices of those who are most impacted as we design solutions.
- Fair share taxation: We need to move towards a more progressive tax model that requires the wealthiest top 1% of our state to pay their fair share, and reduce the burden on working families and folks on a fixed income. As we’re seeing wages for the majority not keeping up with rising costs, need to level the playing field so that people can lead a happy, healthy and dignified life.
