|Throughout my adult life it has been my honor and my joy to use my time, energy, and skills to work with community leaders and impacted communities. Following lawschool I served our country overseas in the United States Peace Corps, I have taught in the classroom, and the past few years I have been volunteering my time to work directly with refugees, young and old, here in Phoenix as they are released from ICE detention. I am running for School Board because I believe that our systems need to be constantly re-thought and re-built with an eye toward greater inclusivity, access, and equity.
- Charlie Lucking is a husband, a father of two, a returned Peace Corps Volunteer, attorney, a leader in business and community, and his kids will be the third generation in his family to graduate from Phoenix Union High Schools.
- Service for his community and support of Public Education are central tenets in Charlie’s life. He believes that access to a robust and high quality Public Education is a human right and the responsibility of all of our communities collectively to provide to Arizona’s children.
- When our public schools are supported by their communities they can be the very best schools. With an engaged, critical, and caring governing board, PXU will be capable of making massive positive change in the lives of countless Arizona families every day.

Scorecards
A scorecard evaluates a legislator’s voting record. Its purpose is to inform voters about the legislator’s political positions. Because scorecards have varying purposes and methodologies, each report should be considered on its own merits. For example, an advocacy group’s scorecard may assess a legislator’s voting record on one issue while a state newspaper’s scorecard may evaluate the voting record in its entirety.
Ballotpedia is in the process of developing an encyclopedic list of published scorecards. Some states have a limited number of available scorecards or scorecards produced only by select groups. It is Ballotpedia’s goal to incorporate all available scorecards regardless of ideology or number.
