Waymond Brown (Arkansas)
Waymond Brown is a judge of the Arkansas Court of Appeals District 7. He assumed office in 2009. His current term ends on January 1, 2033.
Brown won re-election for judge of the Arkansas Court of Appeals District 7 outright after the general election on March 5, 2024, was canceled.
Biography
Education
Brown received his B.S. in accounting from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff and his J.D. from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock School of Law.[1]
Career
Brown served as a district judge for the Jefferson County District Court, Division 2, from 2001 to 2008. Brown also served as chief legal counsel for the Arkansas Employment Security Department, as chief deputy prosecuting attorney and deputy prosecuting attorney for Jefferson and Lincoln counties and as a tax accountant for Phillips Petroleum Company.[1]

Brown highlighted his eight years of judicial experience as a reason voters should support him. "I'm the only person in this race with actual judicial experience," he said. "It's the judge of the judges, so who would be better for this than a judge?"[3]
