Irene Saiz Mirabal-Counts was a judge of the Otero County Magistrate Court, Division 1, in New Mexico. She was appointed by Governor Susana Martinez (R) on March 30, 2016, to fill the vacancy left by the resignation of Gene C. Galassini.[1] Her term expired at the end of 2016.

Mirabal-Counts' professional experience includes working as a paralegal, mediator, and security contractor. She served as the magistrate court's mediation program director from 2005 to 2006. Mirabal-Counts also worked as a mediator for the Third Judicial District Court from 2007 to 2008.[1]
