Tanji Northrup was the interim Utah Commissioner of Insurance. She was appointed by Governor Gary Herbert on October 1, 2020, after Todd Kiser left that position on September 30, 2020. [1] She left office in January 2021 when Gov. Spencer Cox (R)'s appointee, Jon Pike, assumed the role.[2]

Biography

Northrup attended Westminster College in Salt Lake City, where she earned a bachelor's degree in business management. After serving as the Utah Deputy Insurance Commissioner from 1994 until 2020, when she was appointed Utah interim commissioner of insurance.
