Chuck Bassett
Chuck Bassett is the Arizona Director of Insurance. Bassett assumed office on January 12, 2026.
Katie Hobbs (D) appointed Bassett Arizona Director of Insurance on January 9, 2026, to replace Maria Ailor (Nonpartisan).[1]
Biography
Chuck Bassett earned a bachelor's degree in political science and a J.D. from the University of Arizona. Bassett's career experience includes working as the vice president of government relations at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona and as an associate attorney at Low & Childers, P.C. He has also served as a legal counsel to the rules and ethics committees in the Arizona House of Representatives. Bassett has been affiliated with the following organizations:
- Arizona Chamber of Commerce, health care and public affairs committee
- Arizona Society of Healthcare Attorneys
- Scottsdale Chamber of Commerce
- Arizonans for the Arts
- Fiesta Bowl Committee[2]
