Sarah is a physician, an author, a business developer, and a mother. Her unique background blends medical expertise with a business mindset, equipping her to address the complex challenges facing Mississippi families. Sarah believes in the power of collaboration and is dedicated to representing the voices of her constituents, ensuring that their needs and concerns are at the forefront of her campaign. With a vision for a healthier, more prosperous future, Sarah Adlakha is ready to lead Mississippi into a new era of progress and opportunity.
  • Sarah brings a unique perspective to healthcare challenges in Mississippi, drawing from her experiences as a physician, a mother of a special needs daughter, and a mother of a teenage daughter treated for thyroid cancer. Her firsthand encounters with the complexities of the healthcare system have shaped her understanding of the obstacles many families face. She understands that improving healthcare access and affordability is not just a policy issue; it is a matter of life and death for families like hers. With her medical expertise and personal experiences, Sarah Adlakha is committed to championing changes that will create a more compassionate and effective healthcare system for all Mississippians.
  • In order to boost Mississippi's economy, Sarah believes the state must lean on strong business models, innovative educational programs, and a robust tourism industry. Her experience in real estate development and finance equips her with the knowledge to craft policies that encourage private sector growth while minimizing government interference. By focusing on pro-business policies, reducing taxes, and eliminating unnecessary regulations, Mississippi can foster an environment where local businesses thrive. Coupled with a workforce educated in key sectors such as healthcare, technology, and energy, the state will be well-positioned to grow and compete on the national level.
  • Sarah recognizes the importance of a robust defense infrastructure, not only for safeguarding our nation but also for fostering economic growth and job creation within Mississippi. The state is home to several key military installations, including Keesler Air Force Base and the Naval Construction Battalion Center in Gulfport. Additionally, Mississippi’s Ingalls Shipbuilding, located in Pascagoula, plays a crucial role in the construction of naval vessels, making it a vital asset to both our state's economy and our national defense strategy. Strengthening our national defense ensures these facilities remain vital contributors to our local economies, providing stable employment and supporting businesses throughout the region.
Sarah's goal is to serve Mississippi in a way that uplifts every community, fights for better healthcare access, improves education, and fosters economic growth.
You don’t need a background in politics to serve in the U.S. Senate; you need a backbone. Career politicians have had their turn, and what we’re left with is a broken system that’s more focused on reelection than results. Sarah has spent her life in the real world building businesses, managing healthcare, and raising a family. Her experience matters more than political games. Washington needs more courage and common sense, not more of the same.
Politicians and diapers have one thing in common. They should both be changed regularly, and for the same reason.

Campaign website

Adlakha's campaign website stated the following:

Lower Costs for Families

Unleash American energy, fix supply chains, and deliver tax relief for working Mississippians.

Pledge: Back domestic production, grid upgrades, and lower utility costs.

Mississippians are feeling the burden of rising prices in every corner of daily life—from groceries to gas to electricity. When families have to constantly stretch their budgets, quality of life suffers and small businesses falter. Sarah understands that affordability is key to economic stability and lives well lived. To combat this challenge, she proposes a bold, five‑point plan designed to strengthen energy independence, streamline supply chains, and give working families the tax relief they need to thrive.

Parents & Students First, Not Politicians & Bureaucrats

Support strong public schools, real accountability, and parental choice, without DC micromanagement.

Pledge: Keep more decisions and dollars in Mississippi classrooms; tie federal funds to transparency and results.

As a mother who loves her state and is committed to its future, Sarah was proud to send her children to public school so they could experience the opportunities Mississippi schools have to offer. She believes that a robust public school system is fundamental to the state’s success. Because her youngest daughter has special needs, Sarah has also had the experience of navigating the public school system’s special education services and gaining firsthand insight into the importance of providing strong support for all students. She understands the critical role of special education programs and the need for consistent, reliable funding to ensure that these services meet the needs of every child.

Secure the Border & Deport Illegals First.

Prioritize removal of convicted illegal immigrants; mandate E-Verify; back local–federal cooperation.

Pledge: Support mandatory E-Verify; expand Secure Communities.

Mississippi, like many parts of the United States, has been shaped by the contributions of immigrants who have come here seeking a better life. These individuals bring with them diverse perspectives, strong work ethics, and cultural richness, all of which have woven themselves into the fabric of Mississippi’s identity. Whether they are small business owners, agricultural workers, or professionals in medicine and education, immigrants have played an essential role in the state’s economic growth and cultural development. From farm fields to Main Street, their contributions are deeply felt, and their presence enriches the communities they call home.

Cut Waste, Stop the Spending Spiral.

Zero-based budgeting, a cap on spending growth, and a transparency portal so taxpayers can see every dollar.

Pledge: Co-sponsor spending cap & real-time transparency.

Shaped by her years of experience managing complex budgets in both her family’s private medical practice and the development of a large multi-specialty real estate project, Sarah deeply understands the importance of fiscal responsibility. She recognizes that Mississippi’s economic future depends on careful stewardship of taxpayer dollars. Sarah believes in the principles of limited government and responsible spending, ensuring that public resources are directed where they are most needed without burdening future generations with unsustainable debt.

Term Limits & End Corruption

Back a constitutional amendment for term limits and toughen ethics rules.

Pledge: Self-limit and publish meetings & earmark requests (quarterly).

Washington’s influence has drifted too far from the needs of everyday Mississippians. Career politicians, entrenched interests, and opaque decision‑making have fueled frustration and eroded trust. Sarah believes in real accountability: public servants should stay rooted in the people’s interests, not their political ambitions. Her five‑point strategy promotes transparency, ethical behavior, and meaningful limits on power to restore integrity in governance.

1. Enact Constitutional Amendment for Congressional Term Limits

Proposal: Establish firm limits on how long members of Congress can serve—promoting fresh ideas and reducing entrenched influence.

Implementation: Push for a constitutional amendment that caps House members at three terms (six years) and Senators at two terms (twelve years). Build bipartisan support and mobilize grassroots advocacy across Mississippi to secure state support.

Expected Impact: New voices in Congress, reduced insider advantage, and increased responsiveness to constituents instead of special interests.

2. Toughen Ethics Laws and Lobbying Transparency

Proposal: Reinforce rules that curb corruption by tightening lobbying restrictions and enhancing transparency. Implementation: Sponsor legislation that strengthens cooling‑off periods for legislators before they become lobbyists. Mandate real‑time public disclosure of meetings with lobbyists and broaden anti‑conflict‑of‑interest standards.

Expected Impact: Greater public oversight, diminished influence of paid interests, and restored confidence that lawmakers serve the public—not their backers.

3. Self‑Impose Meeting and Earmark Disclosure Quarterly

Proposal: Set a personal standard for transparency by voluntarily publishing meeting logs and earmark requests every quarter.

Implementation: Launch a publicly accessible website detailing all constituent and stakeholder meetings, plus any earmark or appropriations requests made. Keep this updated on a strict quarterly schedule.

Expected Impact: Immediate, visible transparency, increased public trust, and a model for ethical representation that other leaders can follow.

4. Strengthen Accountability Mechanisms for Officials

Proposal: Require public officials to regularly report their financial interests and recuse themselves in cases of conflict.

Implementation: Reinforce conflict‑of‑interest disclosure laws, and mandate annual audits of lawmakers’ financial statements. Ensure any activity with personal or familial gain triggers automatic recusal protocols.

Expected Impact: Greater integrity in legislative and oversight decisions, minimized personal gain from public office, and reinforced trust in state and federal governance.

5. Support Ethics Oversight and Whistleblower Protection

Proposal: Elevate the role of independent oversight to deter corruption and ensure fair treatment for accountability champions.

Implementation: Advocate for empowered, independent ethics inspectors with subpoena abilities. Strengthen protections and anonymity for whistleblowers who expose misconduct.

Expected Impact: Enhanced deterrent against unethical behavior, safer channels for accountability within government, and heightened trust in democratic institutions.

National Defense

Mississippi, with its strong military presence and rich history of supporting national defense, stands to benefit significantly from improvements in national defense policy. Sarah recognizes the importance of a robust defense infrastructure, not only for safeguarding our nation but also for fostering economic growth and job creation within Mississippi. The state is home to several key military installations, including Keesler Air Force Base and the Naval Construction Battalion Center in Gulfport. Additionally, Mississippi’s Ingalls Shipbuilding, located in Pascagoula, plays a crucial role in the construction of naval vessels, making it a vital asset to both our state’s economy and our national defense strategy. Strengthening our national defense ensures these facilities remain vital contributors to our local economies, providing stable employment and supporting businesses throughout the region.

Agriculture

Sarah understands that agriculture is the backbone of Mississippi’s economy and plays a critical role in supporting local communities, providing jobs, and ensuring food security. She believes that empowering farmers with the resources they need is essential for sustaining the state’s agricultural strength. By advocating for a business-friendly environment, she believes Mississippi’s agricultural industry can thrive and compete on both national and global levels.

Energy and Environment

Sarah understands the critical importance of energy independence for Mississippi and the broader United States, recognizing that a reliable, domestic energy supply is essential for both national security and economic stability. She sees energy independence as a way to reduce reliance on foreign oil, strengthen the U.S. economy, and protect against global disruptions. Mississippi, with its vast natural resources, is in a prime position to lead in this effort. By supporting the development of local energy production, including oil, natural gas, and clean energy sources like solar and wind, Sarah envisions creating jobs, boosting local economies, and maintaining low energy costs for Mississippi families.

Infrastructure

Sarah understands that a strong and reliable infrastructure is critical for Mississippi’s future growth and prosperity. She believes that infrastructure projects should focus on strengthening the state’s economy, creating jobs, and improving the quality of life for its citizens. She views infrastructure investment not just as a tool for economic development but also as a vital element in ensuring the state’s competitiveness in attracting businesses and retaining talent. Whether it’s building better roads, improving rural broadband access, or modernizing water systems, Sarah is committed to supporting practical, fiscally responsible infrastructure initiatives. [2]
