I am a constitutional conservative that feels it is time for more statesmen to be in government, not politicians. I am a husband, father, truck driver, and previously a firefighter. My family is very important to me, and we love our community.
  • Focus on "We the People" because many politicians seem to focus on their own agenda and not the interests of their communities. I want my votes to reflect the voice of my community, and focus on bills that would actually help.
  • Accountability for our elected representatives. What bills are they authoring/sponsoring? How are they voting in Congress, and what is their reasoning? Why don't they ever respond with real answers when we reach out to them? I want to provide that communication to our community.
  • Transparency from every aspect of the government and bureaucrats. Where are our tax dollars going once the various departments and organizations receive them?
I have seen many bills introduced in Congress that violate the Constitution. I firmly believe the Constitution is the most important government document, and bills that further violate our 1st, 2nd, and 4th amendment rights need to be stopped. I am also passionate about keeping things like CRT and transgender encouragement out of public schools. The state taxes and inflation are also huge issues that should be addressed; there are many things that can be done to stimulate the economy and actually eliminate taxes.
The Democratic Party Hates America, by Mark Levin, is a book that helps explain my political philosophy. I also use the Bible for my moral compass.
Being a good leader is the most important characteristic an elected representative can have. A good leader knows how to think for themselves and not just follow the status quo. They also have a good moral compass and prioritize honesty, responsibility, and communication.
The most important principle that an elected official should have is selflessness; they should be a true public servant, only making decisions that would benefit their communities as a whole. They cannot be following their own agenda.
I was a bus boy at a diner when I was 14 years old. I worked there for about 2 years; I then got hired as a convenience store clerk, where I worked until I was an adult.
No. I feel our representatives should be regular people that understand the needs and values of the majority in their communities. There should also be term limits on elected representatives to ensure the best representation of our communities.
Yes, because the other legislators will be your co-workers. Just like any other business, in order to get things passed that benefit your community, you need to have support from like-minded people that see the benefit.
At this time, I do not know if I will want to run for a different political office. There are many factors that would go into a decision like that, like what my community wants.
Yes, there is a man that I met at a Republican Club meeting. He has a family member with a permanent medical condition that requires a daily medication; however, this treatment method is burdensome and inefficient. There is a better, longer-lasting treatment for this condition, but state insurance refuses to pay for it. This better treatment is more money upfront, but much cheaper over time. He has had multiple issues getting his elected representatives to listen, much less care, to do something about it. This is sad, because that is the whole purpose of being an elected representative: to help your constituents, or, at the very least, try your best to help.
Yes, the legislature should have oversight during the use of emergency powers to ensure that the governor is not overstepping the Constitution.
Repeal of the WV Cap and Trade Bill; this would reduce the cost of electricity significantly. It would also reduce the amount of tax dollars supporting non-sustainable forms of energy.
Fire Departments and Emergency Medical Services, Agriculture and Natural Resources, and Energy and Manufacturing
