Josh Gottheimer (D) defeated incumbent Scott Garrett (R) and Claudio Belusic (L) in the general election on November 8, 2016. Garrett defeated Michael Cino and Peter Vallorosi in the Republican primary on June 7, 2016. Gottheimer won the November 8 election, defeating incumbent Garrett.[3][4]

  • Restructure The Tax Code: Let's keep this simple. It is impossible for any person to know all of the current tax codes, which currently is 74,000 pages. With tax incentives/breaks/loopholes, how can you know if the system is fair. Do you owe the tax or not? All forms of income will be subject to the below proposal including salary, dividends, capital gains, corporation perks, stock options, bonuses, benefits...any income at all… there are no loopholes; if you earned money you owe the tax. Corporations will be treated just as Individuals on net profit.
  • Balance The Budget: Using the Tax Code above projections will determine the budget for the upcoming year. The smartest economist will project the total Income for the Federal Government. If the projection is $2.5 trillion then the budget will be set at 80% of that number. If at the end of the fiscal year there is a surplus then the surplus will be divided in half. Half goes to pay down the debt and the other half is paid back to the individual taxpayers (making under $200,000 a year but over $10,000) evenly.
  • Immigration Process: First and foremost Secure the Borders; this will curtail further illegal immigration and Make America Safer.
  • Eliminate Fiat Money / Return To A Backed System: Currently we just print worthless money (debt). It is backed by nothing…..not gold or silver or platinum or diamonds. It is not even worth the paper it is printed on. This makes it very easy to just keep on printing…..until it all implodes. Currency based on nothing but a promise is doomed to fail. In fact our currencies are "notes" which means debt. Fiat money allows the Government to spend like Drunken Sailors.
  • Term Limits: We are not here to breed professional politicians. Get in…do your job…..get out. The fact is the Senate and House of Representatives have the ability to do this today….but they don't want to give up the power and money!!
