Peter L. Strauss is an American legal scholar and professor. As of May 2024, he worked as the Betts Professor Emeritus of Law at Columbia Law School. He joined the Columbia Law School faculty in 1971 and has spent time as a visiting professor at a number of domestic and international universities, including the European University Institute and Harvard University. From 1975 to 1977, Strauss served as the first general counsel for the United States Nuclear Regulatory Commission. His scholarship focuses on administrative law, legal methods, and legislation, according to his profile at Columbia Law School.[1]
