Barclay Winn
Barclay Winn is a former member of the Norfolk City Council in Virginia, representing Super Ward 6 from 2000 to 2016. He lost his bid for re-election to a new four-year term in the general election on May 3, 2016.[1]
According to the Virginia Public Access Project, Winn is an independent.[2]
Biography
Winn earned his B.S. from North Carolina State University. His professional experience includes work as the chief executive officer of Winn Nursery of Virginia, Inc.[1]
As of his 2017 bid for re-election, Winn and his wife, Janet, had five children and lived in Ghent, Virginia. Winn has served as the chairman of the Armed Services YMCA, the president of the Sertoma Club of Norfolk, a chapter chairman and board member of the Tidewater Chapter of the American Red Cross, a board member of Sentara Enterprises, a board member of Physicians for Peace, and a member of the Finance Committee of Sentara Health Systems.[1]

The city of Norfolk, Virginia, held elections for mayor and city council on May 3, 2016. Two of the eight city council seats were up for election.[3] Andria McClellan defeated incumbent Barclay Winn and Warren Stewart in the Norfolk City Council Super Ward 6 general election.
