- Excerpt: "As a mother and grandmother, Mary knows that our children are our future. This means education has to be a priority. Mary will work to ensure that our public schools have the funding they need to provide great education for our children. She will also work to make sure higher education is affordable so that every student has the opportunity to get a good education."

2014
Elections for the Oklahoma House of Representatives took place in 2014. A primary election took place on June 24, 2014. The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was April 11, 2014. Mary Sosa and Shane Stone advanced past Chris Bryant and Virginia Poindexter in the Democratic primary. Stone defeated Sosa in a runoff election on August 26, 2014, leaving him unchallenged in the general election.[2][3][4]
