I was raised by a single mom, a labor and delivery nurse in St. Paul, Minnesota who worked her way up in healthcare. I watched my mother work 50-60 hours a week to make ends meet while furthering her college education to provide the best possible life for the two of us. Her hard work and discipline taught me the valuable lessons of independence and resilience to always get back up and keep growing.

As a business owner of four companies and a Minnesota landlord, I know the struggles first hand of the effects of our current economic crisis. One of my tenants is a single mom who fled an abusive relationship. Stacy, like many Americans, is working hard to make ends meet for her daughters. She is struggling to afford housing, healthcare, extreme price of utilities and inflated costs of nearly every essential good for her family. Our costs are increasing, but our income isn't. It's the stories in our community like this that are all too common today.

  • Currently our Minnesota Government is a for-profit business. We have a $9,000,000,000.00 budget surplus from 2021, which was $2 billion more than previously expected. The largest in state history. We have property tax bills increasing 20-30% in some counties, while many can't even afford to pay their heating bills. Inflation is rampant and essential goods are unaffordable. We need to invest these efforts in reforms that promote innovation, jobs and economic growth. Small businesses are the primary driver of local economic growth, our policies need to encourage small companies, not bleed them dry.
  • A top concern, right now, I hear from many within our community is safety and the rising crime in our own backyard. That's why I've appointed Krystal Dunn as chair of my campaign. Krystal is a local Burnsville business owner and nationally respected professional shooter specializing in training self-defense. We will be working to secure specialized training & funding for our growing communities' police departments. Gun laws? The problem we have is the lack of prosecution and penalties for criminals, system abusers along with illegal firearm possessions. The laws are already there, but there are minimal repercussions. We pledge to find these solutions while protecting law-abiding citizen's second amendment rights.
  • Supporting our future leaders. I was one of those children that was told I would fail if I didn’t go to college. Delinquency rates on student loans are now as high as they were on subprime mortgages during the housing crisis. I’ve experienced that first hand as a statistic myself. A four-year degree from a brick-and-mortar institution is not the only path toward a prosperous and fulfilling career. The cost of college education is unsustainable, we need to innovate public policy.

My first job was emplyoing others! Here Is How It Started.

The entrepreneurial fire was fueled. I started my first official registered LLC on eBay buying and selling electronics in 8th grade. Shortly after that time I got involved - fast! I joined as a business amassador with the local area chamber of commerce at age 13 in River Falls, WI. You could say the American Dream was alive and well in my ambitions, it has never stopped. When I turned 17, I pitched a business plan to a retired dentist and his wife a retired Delta airline executive. They wrote me a total of $60,000 following that meeting as a partner to a 17 year old kid. KLASS Cosmetics & Skincare a Christian based cosmetics product line was born and KLASS Act, a charitable giveback program for survivors of domestic violence.

In 2017, we announced plans for a brand new building in Hudson, WI for our showroom, new brick and mortar store and our new salon concept suites. This project was a huge risk for us, at the same time I purchased another company called ASTI Salon Systems out of Eau Claire, WI. Then again launched a third company with a corporate cosmetology school client of ours. The risk was paying off, we continued to grow into the company we are today.

Since then I’ve been buying multi-family real estate and car wash properties. The same bank where I’d overdraft on my McChicken, is now a part of my million dollar real estate career. Being a landlord sounds like a horrible job. It’s actually one of the most rewarding aspects of my life, because at one time not long ago I was the one with unpaid rents and utilities. To me this is my American Dream.
