The Arizona Individual Income Tax Rate Reduction Measure was not on the ballot in Arizona as a legislatively referred state statute on November 5, 2024.
This amendment would have provided for the Joint Legislative Budget Committee to determine whether there is a surplus in taxes collected, and if so, for the individual income tax rate to be reduced to 50% of the structural surplus.[1]

In Arizona, the state Legislature can refer a statute to the ballot. A simple majority vote was required in each legislative chamber.
The measure was introduced on February 1, 2023. It passed the Arizona State Senate on February 22, 2023, by a 16-13 vote.[1]
