The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was March 14, 2014. Ashlee F. Stalcup was unopposed in the Democratic primary, while incumbent Tom Loertscher was unopposed in the Republican primary. Stalcup was defeated by Loertscher in the general election.[2][3][4][5]
