Chuck Terry
Charles "Chuck" Terry was a Republican candidate for District 25, West Virginia House of Delegates in the November 2, 2010 state legislative election. He was newly appointed on October 8, 2010 to take the place on the ballot vacated by incumbent Thomas Porter, who died on September 27, 2010.[1]
Terry is the owner of CET Contracting, Inc. in Princeton.[2]
Elections

Terry was defeated as one of four candidates running for the two positions in District 25 on the ballot in the November 2, 2010, general election. He was opposed in the general election by Republican Joe Ellington, Democrat Bill Morefield and Democrat incumbent John Frazier. Only the top two vote-getters are elected.
Thomas Porter, who won a place on the ballot in the May 11 primary, died on September 27, 2010. His son, Mike accepted the appointment to finish his father's term. Republicans named Terry to run for the seat in the November 2, 2010, general election.[3][4][5][6]

Terry, in a comment about his recent appointment, said "One of the things that I want to bring to Charleston is I'm just a working man. I want to work for the people. I am not interested for working for special interests or the process or any party dispute. I am there for the people. I want to represent us West Virginians, especially southern West Virginians."[7]
