Cava won re-election for Mayor of Miami-Dade County in Florida outright in the primary on August 20, 2024, after the general election was canceled.
Biography
Daniella Levine Cava was born in New York, New York. Cava earned a bachelor's degree in psychology from Yale University, graduate degrees in law and social work from Columbia University,[1] and a law degree from the University of Miami.[2] Her career experience includes working as an attorney with Legal Services of Greater Miami and as a Guardian Ad Litem.[2] Cava oversaw the South Florida Regional Planning Council (SFRPC) and founded Catalyst Miami.[1][2][3]
