|But it is the passion for "Bringing the business of the people back to the community" that drives the Nevadan native that speaks loudest. This is the banner he carries! "I think the people of District D want to be heard, and they want to know that their voices are reflective of the person they elect," you'll hear him say in any open forum. - Education
Education - My goal is to provide greater educational opportunities for our students, to include expanding their opportunities to earn college credits while in high school or learning a trade or skill to increase their opportunities as they enter the workforce.
Property Tax - The ever-rising price of housing is a double-edged sword. For those who want to sell and move on, it is a great blessing; for those who are on a fixed income, it is a curse. I believe the answers are out there, and as we work together, we can find a resolution to this problem.
Small Businesses - Small businesses are the backbone of Clark County and Nevada. We need to continue to eliminate regulations and reduce taxes so small businesses can flourish.

“ | Introduction
I am Dr. Dillard Allen Scott a native Nevadan Born and Raised in the heart of District D also know as historic West Las Vegas. I am a fourth generation resident of the district and have always enjoyed the small town ambiance of the westside. Our history is rich in culture and unlike any other part of southern Nevada. We are a melting pot of immigrants and Americans that migrated north of the city in the early 40s. Through the years the district has undergone many changes , however our district has always been resilient in protecting the sanctity of the people who reside here. That is why on August 17 2019 I was the first candidate to formally announce my bid to be the districts next county commissioner. We are have a pivotal moment in time to level the playing field and establish staying power with our district. Now is the time to become fiscally stable to build and create an infrastructure that is comparable to neighboring communities. We cannot continue to be the ink-spot of poverty on Southern Nevada’s map. It is imperative to hold our elected officials accountable for misconduct both personally and professionally. We must bring the business of the people back to the community. What this means is We can’t elect a democratic pawn who panders to mother on mother’s day with flower ,teases our families at thanksgiving with turkeys ,bamboozles our children with backpacks for school and bikes at Christmas. We are better than this we deserve better than this. This is why I want to be the next county commissioner to teach our young men and women how to prevent bench warrants and Handel their business rather than squash bench warrants; to build brick and motor businesses within the district and not hustle out the trunk of their cars . If we collectively work and extend our voice of democracy together we will give our families hope and something different to look at opposed to what we have become accustomed to. This is how communities are transformed. This is how we create staying power. This is how we institute change and restructure our community and restore our pride, culture and heritage. I intend to lead this charge by forgoing the salary of commissioner and reinvest it back into the district. Our vital resources must be restored to include a full service major grocery store and a Health clinic that teaches our young people contraception , provide support to our seniors ,and educates our community on mental and physical health. infantile political seat hopping supports institutional political partisanship. This is the most powerful seat under the governor. Honesty is on the ballot ,integrity is on the ballot, I am on the ballot.... it’s time to go to work For district d to inspire and heal our district and show southern Nevada who we are as a people. Bio The distinguished list of community hats that grace the municipal closet of Dr. Dillard Allen Scott is beyond impressive. Social activist, child advocate, senior supporter, mental health trainer, life coach, and entrepreneur – the list alone could serve as credentials qualifying the good doctor to compete for and win the Clark County Commission District D seat in the 2020 election season. But it is the passion for “Bringing the business of the people back to the community” that drives the Nevada native that speaks loudest. This is the banner he carries! “I think the people of District D want to be heard, and they want to know that their voices are reflective of the person they elect,” you’ll hear him say in any open forum. Armed with a wealth of education, which includes a JD in Criminology, a Master’s Degree in Public Administration, a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and an Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice, a 10 minute conversation with Dr. Scott will verify he is no stranger to the political area. Moreover, his representation in 1992 as the Chief Justice of the Nevada Boys State Supreme Court in Carson City where he presided over an impeachment hearing of the state’s governor, serves as a proving ground toward his no-nonsense attitude and ability to get things done. Nevertheless, the soft-spoken gentleman insists on presenting himself to the people as common and approachable. “I am one of them. I went to preschool at Zion Methodist, I graduated from Cimarron Memorial High School. This is my community too,” he said. Dr. Scott has done his due diligence on the district he seeks to represent and stands on a platform that includes more tighter allocations of district funds, better resources for the youth, and restored opportunities for seniors and mental health patients. “Other districts have state-of-the-art facilities for the youth and seniors. We need to look at why we’re still patching up things that need to be rebuilt,” Dr. Scott said in a recent interview. “We have to do better.” It’s time to step up and make a difference. Community Initiatives Senior Citizen mentorship and advocacy District D Beautification project completion Revitalizing the historic infrastructure of Jackson Strip Social Justice Initiatives Overhauling citizens review board for law enforcement, Building a sports complex and African American Sports hall of fame (The Otis T.
