Donald Wilkerson
Donald G. Wilkerson was a federal magistrate judge for the United States District Court for the Southern District of Illinois. He began serving in this position on January 4, 2005. He was reappointed in 2013 and retired in 2019.[1][2]
Education
Judge Wilkerson received his B.S. degree from Illinois State University in 1973 and his master's degree in education from Southern Illinois University in 1978. He then taught and coached in the East St. Louis Public Schools for 17 years before becoming a lawyer. He received his law degree from the St. Louis University School of Law in 1993.[3][4]
Career
Judge Wilkerson began his legal career in 1993 with the St. Louis law firm Thompson Mitchell. He later joined the Stolar Partnership firm. In 1995, he became an assistant U.S. attorney in St. Louis. He held this position until his judicial appointment in 2005. He has also taught as an adjunct professor at the Washington University School of Law since 2000.[4]
