Dylan L. Patrick
Dylan L. Patrick was a 2014 Democratic candidate for District 15 of the Georgia House of Representatives.
Biography
A Georgia native, Patrick grew up in Cartersville and graduated from Woodland High School in 2006. He went on to attend classes at Georgia Highlands College.[1]
Since 2011, Patrick has worked as an independent contractor for the Technical Association of the Pulp and Paper Industry as an editor and technical writer managing the organization's weekly newsletter.[2]

Patrick submitted the following statement to Ballotpedia:[2]

- Excerpt: "Patrick supports reform that will allow Georgia teachers to be independent of the restraints of standardized testing. He opposes most federal outlines and excess bureaucratic control, favoring increased local control. Patrick believes investment in education should go towards hiring more teachers with more freedom. He would like to see class sizes reduced from the mid to high 30s (in some cases) to a max of 25 children per classroom in Georgia K-12 schools."

Elections for the Georgia House of Representatives took place in 2014. A primary election took place on May 20, 2014, with runoff elections taking place where necessary on July 22, 2014. The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was March 7, 2014. Dylan L. Patrick was unopposed in the Democratic primary, while incumbent Paul R. Battles was unopposed in the Republican primary. Patrick was defeated by Battles in the general election.[3][4][5]
