George Lowe
George H. Lowe was a federal magistrate judge for the United States District Court for the Northern District of New York. He was appointed to this position in February of 2004 and retired from the court on February 9, 2012.[1]
Early life and education
Judge Lowe received his undergraduate degree from Williams College and his law degree from the Columbia University School of Law.[1]
Professional career
Judge Lowe began his career with the firm Thacher, Proffitt & Wood. He then worked for five years as an Assistant U.S. Attorney and for four years as a U.S. Attorney of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of New York. For the twenty-one years prior to his judicial appointment, he practiced law as a partner of the firm Bond, Schoeneck & King.[1]
