Hugh Brenneman, Jr.
Hugh W. Brenneman Jr. was a federal magistrate judge for the United States District Court for the Western District of Michigan. Brenneman retired on July 31, 2015.[1]
Biography and Education
Judge Brenneman was born in 1945 in Lansing, Michigan. He received his B.A. degree in history from Alma College in 1967 and his J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School in 1970.[2]
Career
Judge Brenneman began his career with the Army Judge Advocate General's Office. He worked in this office from 1971 to 1974. He then became an Assistant U.S. District Attorney for the Western District of Michigan. In 1977, he joined the law firm firm Bergstrom, Slykhouse & Shaw, P.C., where he worked until 1980.[2]
