James Hutton
James P. Hutton was a federal magistrate judge for the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Washington. He was appointed to this position on January 14, 2008.[1] Hutton retired in January 2016.[2]
Education
Judge Hutton received his B.A. degree from the University of Washington in 1972 and his J.D. degree from the Gonzaga University School of Law in 1976.[1]
Career
Judge Hutton began his career in 1976 as a private practice lawyer. He worked in this capacity until 1996, when he became a judge on the Yakima County Superior Court. He was then appointed to the position of magistrate judge in early 2008. He retired in January 2016[1]
