Jon Harper
Jon Harper was a 2016 Democratic candidate for Utah Attorney General. He was defeated by Sean D. Reyes (R) in the general election.[1]
Biography
Harper is a Utah native and the son of two teachers. He attended South High School and earned a degree in history from the University of Utah. He received his juris doctor from Georgetown University, where he also clerked for the Bureau of Consumer Affairs at the Federal Trade Commission. Following his graduation from law school, he worked as a private practice attorney at Parsons Behle & Latimer before serving eight years as an associate dean and teaching at the University of Utah School of Law; he then returned to private practice.
Harper has two children, Annie and Jake.[2]
