Keith O. Williams was a 2015 candidate for District 3 of the Memphis City Council in Tennessee. The general election took place on October 8, 2015. Williams and Patrice Jordan Robinson were competing in a runoff election on November 19, 2015.
Biography
Williams attended Memphis Melrose High School and earned a bachelor's degree from Knoxville College. His professional experience includes teaching in Knoxville and at several high schools in Memphis. He served as the president of the Memphis teachers union, the Memphis-Shelby County Education Association, from 2010 to 2015.[1]

The city of Memphis, Tennessee, held elections for mayor and city council on October 8, 2015. The filing deadline for candidates who wished to run in this election was July 17, 2015.[2] In the District 3 race, Rhonda Banks, Tanya L. Cooper, Sherman Kilimanjaro, Kevin Mott, Sr., Patrice Jordan Robinson, Coleman Thompson and Keith O. Williams faced off in the general election on October 8, 2015. Incumbent Harold B. Collins did not run for re-election.[3] A runoff between Robinson and Williams took place on November 19, 2015.[4]
