Lisa Wheeler-Bowman
Lisa Wheeler-Bowman was a member of the St. Petersburg City Council in Florida, representing District 7. Wheeler-Bowman assumed office on January 7, 2016. Wheeler-Bowman left office on September 15, 2022.
Wheeler-Bowman ran for re-election to the St. Petersburg City Council to represent District 7 in Florida. Wheeler-Bowman won in the general election on November 5, 2019.
Wheeler-Bowman resigned on September 15, 2022, after moving out of the district.[1]
Biography
Born in St. Petersburg, Wheeler-Bowman graduated from Boca Ciega High School. After graduation, she joined the Army.[2]

Incumbent Lisa Wheeler-Bowman and Eritha Brandis Cainion defeated Sarah Elizabeth Moore and Chico Cromartie in the primary for St. Petersburg City Council District 7 on August 27, 2019.

2015
The city of St. Petersburg, Florida, held elections for city council on November 3, 2015. A primary election took place on August 25, 2015. The filing deadline for candidates who wished to run in this election was June 22, 2015. Four of the eight city council seats were up for election. In the District 7 primary, Lisa Wheeler-Bowman and Winthrop “Will” Newton advanced past Sheila Scott Griffin, Aaron Sharpe and Elvert Lewis Stephens.[3] Wheeler-Bowman defeated Newton in the general election. Incumbent Wengay M. "Newt" Newton Sr. did not run for re-election.[4]

Wheeler-Bowman had a son, Cabretti, who was murdered in 2008 at the age of 21. She has since been involved with various neighborhood advocacy efforts and writes on her website that she is considered a "neighborhood mom."
Wheeler-Bowman has been affiliated with the Council of Neighborhood Associations, the Florida Holocaust Museum's "Speak Up, Speak Now" program, and the mayor's transition team.[2]
Noteworthy events
On July 14, 2020, Wheeler-Bowman announced revealed that she had tested positive for coronavirus.[7]
