Wheeler-Bowman's website outlined the following plan:[5]

  • Create better jobs that pay a living wage because sustainable jobs with higher wages mean less of our children will turn to the streets. I’ll fight to bring jobs to South St Pete that we can raise our families on.
  • Continue to make our streets safe with community policing so we know our local officers. They should reflect our community and be personally invested in safer neighborhoods.
  • Improve education by increasing after-school programs, summer camps, and community learning plans to keep our kids off the streets year-round.[6]
