Heading into the election, Ballotpedia rated this race as safely Democratic. Incumbent Loretta Sanchez (D) did not seek re-election in 2016. - Second Amendment: As a Strong supporter of Cal Guns and member of the NRA and Second Amendment Foundation I strongly believe that our second amendment stated in the united state constitution shall not ever be infringed!! we must Protect our bill of rights and Constitution. And now we turn to the issue of gun violence in America today. The latest mass shootings in Aurora Colorado, and New Town, Connecticut, and San Bernardino leave us all – liberal and conservative; Republican and Democrat – appalled and disgusted at the carnage.
- Economy: I am concerned that our Government on nearly every increase in the national debt is placing huge burdens on our future generations by borrowing hundreds of billions of dollars from foreign nations. We must be focused on increasing the opportunity for our families for high quality, good paying jobs A less lengthy process to acquire SBA loans for small to medium size businesses.
- healthcare: I feel that hard working Americans should never have to choose between paying for health care and paying for rent. Every American desires the right to access affordable, effective health care coverage. Health care information and Health care decisions should always be between patients and doctor (Only). Keeping the government and insurance companies out. I will work hard to first ensure that every child is covered immediately and then every American. The fact that even one American should not have access to affordable health care is degrading: as the richest and greatest nation we are able and morally obligated to provide high quality health care for all of our citizens without having to drive them to debt.
- Education: Today I would like to speak to you about fundamental reforms to our nation’s educational system, and how inexpensive, common-sense ideas can radically improve the quality of education from kindergarten through college. our students must rank at the highest level!! not the 27th as in various international Rankings. We have many great educators in our educational school system. Lets work together to get our student once again at the highest of these Rankings . Districts, schools, administrators, teachers – all the money that we spend is based on the number of boxes we put on the assembly line and ship out the door . As things currently exist, the money doesn’t care whether what’s inside the box is beautiful, rugged, or well made; the money doesn’t care if the product inside the box is broken. The money doesn’t even care if there’s anything inside the box at all – all the money cares about is that boxes go out the door. Period.
