I have been a resident of the district for 17 years. I have a son who attends Roseville Area High School and also attended Roseville Area Middle School and Brimhall elementary school. Professionally, I’ve worked for more than 25 years at the University of Minnesota, where I’ve gained a deep understanding of how large public institutions operate and how governance, collaboration, and fiscal responsibility come together to serve students. I’ve also managed complex budgets and led teams focused on student success — experience that directly translates to the oversight and stewardship required of a school board member.

I have been a lifelong advocate of public education and have an extensive background in business operations, IT and Student Development. I have also owned a small business for the past 25 years. Since January of 2022. I have had the opportunity to serve on the Roseville Area School Board and have been treasurer since January 2024.

Beyond my professional roles, I’ve served in leadership positions on a national student housing foundation board and as a member of the Maplewood Multicultural Advisory Committee, which builds bridges between community members and local law enforcement while addressing issues of equity and inclusion. I also own a small business and understand what it takes to lead with both accountability and adaptability.
  • Student Support and Success Every decision I make starts with what’s best for students. I’m committed to supporting students who receive special education services, closing opportunity gaps, and ensuring every child feels seen, valued, and prepared for their future. Education is the foundation for opportunity, and I believe all students deserve the resources and support needed to thrive.
  • Equity and Inclusion I believe in fostering a school community where all students, families, and staff feel welcome and supported. I will continue advancing the district’s equity vision by promoting diverse hiring, inclusive practices, and fair access to educational opportunities for every learner—because belonging and representation matter in every classroom.
  • Fiscal Responsibility and Safe Schools As current board treasurer, I take seriously the responsibility to manage resources wisely and transparently. I will continue ensuring that every dollar supports our students, staff, and schools effectively. Maintaining safe, secure learning environments and strong partnerships with families and community members remains a top priority.
That i was a hard worker and looked about for everyone especially those from underrepresented groups.
Good to Great by Jim Collins, talks about the difference of good companies and great ones and how little things can move the meter.
The primary job of a school board member is to set policy, provide oversight, and ensure the district is meeting the needs of all students and community members. Board members in collaboration with district leadership to align goals with community values, manage resources responsibly, and make informed decisions. We should listen to students, families, and staff and to ensure every decision supports student success, equity, and a safe, inclusive learning environment.
Students, Staff, Families, Community Members
I believe meeting the diverse needs of our district starts with listening, collaboration, and equitable access to resources. I’ll continue supporting programs that serve students with special education needs, promote cultural understanding, and close opportunity gaps. I value staff development and inclusive hiring practices that reflect our community. By working closely with families, staff, and community partners, I’ll help ensure all students feel seen, supported, and prepared to succeed.
While I am at events or just in the community, I always try to talk with parents and community members to get their impression of the school and how they believe we are serving the community.
