The Missouri Requirements for Referendums Amendment did not appear on the ballot in Missouri as an initiated constitutional amendment on November 5, 2024.
This initiative would have established requirements for a referendum to be placed on the ballot, the requirements being either having petitions signed by 5% of voters in each of two-thirds of the congressional districts, or by a one-third vote of the members of either house of the general assembly, who may order a special election by a one-third vote in either house in a separate resolution related to the proposed amendment.[1]
