An effort to recall District Attorney Mitchell Morrissey in Denver, Colorado, from his position was launched in June 2015.[1] The recall did not go to a vote because supporters failed to collect enough signatures.[2]

Recall supporters

Morrissey was targeted for recall over a report released that exonerated two officers in the shooting of 17 year-old Jessica “Jessie” Hernandez. In the 38-page report, Morrissey wrote, "the facts of this investigation show that Officer Jordan and Officer Green were lawfully doing their jobs that morning."[1]
